RLE is building libraries at grassroots levels for students, collaborating with local businesses, and networking with volunteers to make a lasting impact on rural education in India. We've built two such libraries so far, impacting over 300 students.
Meet Shaunya Kumar
"Hi, my name is Shaunya and I'm a high school student from Minnesota, US. I want to empower rural communities in India by promoting a love for reading among students. I'm working with my nonprofit partners to support students with a diverse array of literature. We hope to enhance literacy rates in underpriveleged classrooms and help unlock doors to imagination, personal discovery, and a broader understanding of the world through reading."
